Interview with Laure Canu, KEDGE graduate and General Manager of both Châteaux Cantemerle and Grand Corbin
A graduate of KEDGE's Wine and Spirits Management programme, Laure Canu tells us about her career path and her experience at Kedge. At the age of 39, Laure became the first woman to run both Châteaux Cantemerle and Grand Corbin at the same time.
Laure Canu, a KEDGE graduate, has been the General Manager of Château Cantemerle and Château Grand Corbin since this past summer. She has thus become the first woman to simultaneously manage these two vineyards belonging to the SMA Group.
After she completed KEDGE’s MSc of Wine and Spirits Management programme, Laure went to work for Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande to work in the distribution of Grand Cru Classé wines. She then got a job as the Development Manager for Domaines Sylvie Cazes, which includes Château Chauvin, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé, the travel and events agency Bordeaux Saveurs, the restaurant Le Chapon Fin, as well as Bordeaux River Suite, before becoming Deputy General Manager at Angélus, in Saint-Émilion in 2015.
