Even though they live on the other side of the world, these KEDGE graduates participate in the Alumni network

Zoom on international graduates who take part in KEDGE Alumni workshops and events

For several years now, KEDGE Alumni has digitalised its events and services so that every Alumni, no matter where they are, can benefit from them.

This year, more than ever, the digitalisation of its services has been essential for KEDGE Alumni to provide support to its members. Over the last several months, whether located in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, Luxembourg, the United States, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Gabon, Indonesia, Australia, or Mexico, graduates around the world have taken part in the events and services offered by KEDGE Alumni.

ZOOM ON THE MEETINGS OF THE OENOLOGY CLUB - VERSION 2.0

Historically, KEDGE Alumni has held oenology meetings at its Paris location and they were accessible only to Alumni living in Paris. Now, with the new digital format, meetings are held twice a month and more than some 40 graduates located around the globe have gotten together for these casual events. That’s how Anne-Thuy was able to attend oenology meetings from Switzerland.

"The virtual events held by KEDGE Alumni have let me be part of the school all over again. I no longer have the problem of having to travel to attend events because I can take part in the activities that interest me! Replays also help me work around some of my scheduling issues! I’m no longer feel permanently disconnected.”

ZOOM  ON KEDGE ALUMNI WORKSHOPS AND COACHING SERVICES

One of the missions of KEDGE Alumni is to support the professional development of its graduates through group workshops and individual coaching. All workshops and coaching sessions are offered in both remote and in-person format. Some are even reserved exclusively for KEDGE graduates who live abroad! We also have a dedicated coach who can work around the time differences between countries. Edouard, Dorothée, Elise, and David have all profited from this service.

"I learned that the “Conscious Management” workshop was being held via an email I received from KEDGE. I live in Canada, so I had to make only a small adjustment to my work schedule to take part in it. The instructions on how to access the workshop were perfectly clear, and the connection was very good during the entire workshop. The optional coaching session which I signed up for afterwards was very easy to schedule because the coach was very flexible and available, despite the 6-hour time difference. For me, this was the first KEDGE workshop I’ve participated in since I finished my studies in 2007. I won’t hesitate to do another one." Dorothée - Canada.

"I was very interested in taking this workshop. The legal regulations in France have changed since I left there 23 years ago. I plan to form a company in France and the guidance provided during the workshop gave me some serious avenues to consider. I plan to take other workshops so I can explore certain aspects of entrepreneurship in France in greater detail.” Edouard - Indonesia.

"I’m working on an entrepreneurial project in the United Kingdom, but for the French market. As it’s not always easy to get support from an incubator remotely, I seized the opportunity to take part in the virtual workshops held by KEDGE to get up-to-date on different subjects (financial forecasting, partnership agreements). They were delivered in a short format and contained practical advice. Thank you KEDGE Alumni for setting up these types of initiatives for former graduates.” David – United Kingdom.

“When you live abroad, you can feel disconnected from the Alumni network. However, offering events that are accessible remotely is a big thing. As for me, I’ve kept a foot in the Alumni network since 2019 but, unfortunately, Covid put an end to the physical meetups and limited the opportunities to have exchanges with others.

I was reflecting on my career and was looking to find out what others who’ve asked the same questions as me had to say about it so I looked at Alumni events that were likely to help me in my approach. I really liked the variety of themes offered and the fact that I could participate no matter where I lived.

I took part in several workshops and conferences on entrepreneurship, a topic in which I was particularly interested, and as well as feedback from expats living in different countries. The limited number of participants in the workshops greatly facilitated discussions with the different speakers. The coaches were appropriate for each individual, and the comments and advice they gave were specific to each participant.

I now feel better armed for my professional future and am more confident in my abilities. I foresee myself attending more conferences soon." Elise – Germany

"I attended a LinkedIn workshop which gave me a better understanding of how to use the platform to gain visibility. It also gave practical advice on how to improve the content of my profile while highlighting my strengths and setting myself out from others. Without the digital format workshops, it would have been difficult for me to access activities of the network." Saimen - Germany
